Since 1927, members of the ASO have been creating better smiles for Australians of all ages.
The ASO is the largest dental specialist society in Australia and represents over 90% of all registered orthodontic specialists. The ASO is committed to supporting our members in their professional lives and advocating on their behalf and for the benefit of the orthodontic profession in Australia.
The ASO has 5 strategic priority areas:
- Providing members with ongoing support and resources so they can thrive throughout their careers
- Advocacy and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships within the dental sector
- Supporting research and continuing education in orthodontics
- Public education about evidence based orthodontic treatment and the specialist practitioners providing orthodontic care
