Longterm Locum Position - Gisborne, New Zealand

A longterm locum position for 2023 (and possibly beyond) exists in a well established specialist practice in Gisborne, New Zealand. The owner orthodontist is based in Queensland, supporting the practice remotely, while locums undertake the clinical practice. 

The self-managed and incredibly capable team offer extensive support to our visiting orthodontist/s which creates ease for the orthodontist. A unique culture of care and respect of all exists in the practice.There is the potential for this to be a fly in fly out locum.There is also the potential for a buy in.The practice is digital and undertakes both fixed appliance and Invisalign treatment.

Gisborne is a coastal rural town offering much in lifestyle if the locum chose to base themselves in Gisborne.

This would be a great opportunity for a new graduate (who would be well supported by the practice owner) or an orthodontist wanting more clinical practice or looking at taking steps to purchase their own practice, or perhaps an older orthodontist simply wanting to continue clinical practice.

Orthodontist Specialist (Hospital & Specialist Dentistry Service) - Auckland, New Zealand

The Auckland Hospital & Specialist Dentistry Team (HSD) is part of New Zealand’s largest hospital dental service and provides hospital-based secondary and    tertiary level specialist oral health services for people living in the greater metropolitan Auckland area (1.7 million people). A rewarding opportunity has arisen to join this HSD team as a specialist orthodontist. You will be joining a supportive team of two part-time orthodontists and a wider, multidisciplinary team of dedicated oral and maxillofacial surgeons, plastic surgeons, dental specialists and dentists. The primary focus of the role is caring for children with cleft lip and palate, and additionally contributing to the care of a diverse group of patients with other craniofacial abnormalities. The post is based at Middlemore Hospital, South Auckland. You will also have opportunities for ongoing professional development, as well as the potential for research involvement.

This is a permanent full time position working 40 hours per week. 

In addition to your salary, there are generous holiday and study leave allowances, continuing professional development disbursements, work-place matched KiwiSaver (superannuation) contributions and professional fee reimbursements.
