2021 ASOQ Lecture, Drinks & Dinner - Saturday 9 October
It is with great regret and after much consultation that the ASOQ executive have decided to postpone the 2021 clinic weekend until 2022. As you would all understand, the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic makes planning an event such as this very difficult. Our esteemed speakers from WA have indicated that they are highly unlikely to be able to attend given the volatile border restrictions. We are also conscious of minimizing financial losses for the society and being able to hold an event with the type of social interaction we all come to expect and look forward to from a clinical weekend.
With that said, as a compromise, we have decided to maintain the planned dinner on Saturday 9th of October at City Winery, Fortitude Valley. Dr Ashley Smith and Dr Duncan Campbell will present an extended lecture from 3pm. This will be followed by drinks and dinner and partners are welcome to attend this as previously planned. The executive planned this as a compromise between a clinic weekend and an ordinary quarterly meeting and we hope you will support us in this decision.
For those of you who have already registered for the clinic weekend, the ASO will refund your fees in their entirety. If you wish to register for the dinner and lecture, the fee will remain $150. Partners are more than welcome for the same fee.
Thank you in advance for understanding this difficult decision and we do hope you can join us for a great afternoon and evening to catch up with colleagues.
