Aims

The Australasian Orthodontic Journal (AOJ) is a global, scientific, open access periodical published by De Gruyter in accordance with independent, unbiased, and double-blinded peer-review principles. The journal is the official publication of the Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO).

The AOJ publishes studies on orthodontic academic, clinical and research topics including craniofacial development and growth, case reports, systematic reviews and editorial comments that are prepared in accordance with ethical guidelines. The Journal’s publication language is English and the Editorial Board encourages submissions from international authors.

The Journal’s target audience includes academicians, specialists, students, and general practitioners working in the fields of orthodontics, dentistry, medicine and related areas.

The Journal conforms with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

The AOJ does not apply fees for manuscript submission and publication, nor are fees requested from authors at any point during the evaluation, review and assessment process. All expenses of the Journal are covered by the ASO.

All manuscripts must be submitted through the Editorial Manager as a registered author. The Journal guidelines, technical information, and the required forms are available on the Journal’s web page.
